About the Artwork
“The photo depicts the contents of the first home delivery of supplies for starting my home infusions.”
Heather Finlay-Morreale is a paper artist, photographer, writer, physician and patient who developed a disabling neurological condition. She spent a decade training to be a physician, then got really sick. She transitioned to the other side of the exam-room curtain to share her life as a patient. Drawing on these experiences on both sides of the curtain, her art, writing and storytelling aim to reach and foster the humanity of every cog in the medical machine.
