To Find Comfort

About the Artwork

“Grief is such a funny thing: In most ways it is extraordinarily isolating, but the bonds and unexpected connections that come along with it have as much gravitas as the moments of anguish that happen in solitude. As an artist, I’ve been drawn to ideas of connecting with others and of self-soothing, of holding one’s self together and of discomfort in grief as I process and navigate through my own grief at the loss of my father. This piece centers on the idea of finding comfort within yourself in those isolated moments.”
