Frances Southwick is an osteopathic family physician, visual artist and nonfiction writer with interests in osteopathic manipulative medicine, trauma-informed care, care for the queer community and treatment of substance-use disorders in California’s Central Valley. “By sharing my experiences, I offer validation, hope and peace ​to those in similar circumstances.”

        hi francie – it’s kathleen gargan here. i hope you remember me from colorado right as you were graduating from csu. you and a couple of friends came to dinner at my condo in denver one night and hid easter eggs all over my apartment! i met you through elizabeth elliott. i just listened to your podcast about your narcolepsy diagnosis and was very interested
        to learn about it.
        i notice that one of your focuses is addiction and want to make sure you know about a non-profit i’ve been involved with for many years called lifering secular recovery. it is one of several alternatives to the well known 12 step groups. it offers free support to many of us for whom the 12 step approach is not well suited.

        it sounds like you and judith are thriving and i’m so happy to know that! keep up the good work!
