“Bread and cheese: overdone in the microwave. Burnt out: too burnt to appeal and too depleted of nutritional content to generate the energy to meet daily needs. Stress: the potholes, the peaks, the burnt edges, too much ruin to deal with, and yet you need to clean the dish to use it again.”
Rhonda Weiss is a writer and poet whose work has appeared in the Times Union (Albany), Big Apple Parent, Anton community newspapers, Newsday and in Creations Magazine. She writes primarily on health, environmental and social issues. She believes pessimism is the term used to discredit being realistic, and plans for optimistic endings.
