About the Artwork
“Sometimes we forget all that we have been through, all that we have undertaken. We remember that we felt pain and that we have suffered, yet we most often forget that we have survived. With the strenuous journey we have in front of us, we rarely have time to reflect on these things. These photos are meant to serve as reminders of our healing.”
Christina Barsoum is a medical student in San Antonio who loves to explore humanities in medicine through her lens and pen.
