About the Artwork

“As a public-health trainee in the midst of a global pandemic, I have had to pivot and roll with many punches in my day-to-day work. My sense of professional identity is a work in progress as my skills, knowledge and responsibilities evolve to the beat of this virus. I’ve gained a colorful collection of experiences in my training thus far, and I know there are only more waiting for me in the future!”

Savita Rani is a resident physician in public health and preventive medicine at University of Saskatchewan. She is also the current vice-president of the Canadian Association for Health Humanities.
