About the Artwork
“In a past life, I was advised by an administrator that I was ‘too sensitive to the needs of others,’ and that I needed to change in order to move ahead in healthcare leadership. I never took that piece of ‘advice’ and instead channeled that moment into this artistic piece. The image depicts me in a life raft of sensitivity (a strength), unbothered by the ugliness of modern healthcare and countering the archaic and distorted perception that sensitivity correlates to weakness.”

I really appreciate this.
As one who cherishes “sensitive” doctors and other health care providers, thank you for staying true to yourself. It’s not easy. Your piece says it all.
This is WONDERFUL, both the belief and the art.
