  1. Oh my goodness. This is so relatable.! Once, working as an ER nurse, I took care of a lovely patient who had gotten into a car crash on her way to a friend’s funeral. Understandably stressed, her urostomy bag over-filled and was about to burst. I reached into the cabinet for a graduated cylinder container and placed it under her bag to collect the urine. Unbeknownst to me, the container had a big crack in its bottom, and the liter of urine splashed over my knee. Soaked, I had to change my scrubs. She and I shared a nervous laugh. Not because it was funny ha ha, but what are you going to do?
