About the Artwork
“This 4 x 3 foot canvas represents encounters with two successive patients who each shared with me the exact same story about how the communion of saints (the spiritual union of all members of the Christian Church, living and dead) is all around us, holding us, leading us, healing us. These encounters with the two patients–on different floors of the hospital–affirmed for me that we are all connected and loved. These angel wings affirm that love.”
Kimberly Ann Borin has worked as as a school counselor for over twenty-five years and is currently an adjunct professor, author and yoga teacher. She recently completed her third clinical pastoral education unit as a hospital chaplain, which has also helped her become a better artist.
