Super haiku, Seren. I hope life is treating you as well as can be expected.
Thanks Laurice.
Considering all I had gone through, I’m doing quite well. Have been able to get out and enjoy the outdoors again – inspiring more haiku.
Hope you too are well.
A lovely haiku Seren. The juxtaposition of unripe tomatoes with a positive diagnosis is full of hope. Nice work!
Thank you Carole. Much appreciated.
And congrats to you too – I’ve seen your work pop up all over.
What a wonderful image to illustrate the ‘undeveloped cancer! Excellent haiku.
Thanks Pris.
I had not actually thought of that connection between the two parts. But it definitely works.
My inspiration was having seen my green tomatoes when I first heard I had a suspicious mass and wondering if I was going to see them ripen. My first version of this haiku expressed that sentiment more. Then I got the good news and edited the poem to reflect that.
