Pris, you summed things up in 3 perfect lines.
Such a ring of authenticity in Pris Campbell’s haiku. As one who has spent a fair bit of time at deathbeds, I have seen this pre-planning going on, and hoped the person on the bed couldn’t hear them. Of course, I may not be reading this poem as the author intended, but it certain relates to my own experiences witnessed during visiting hours.
Carole, thank you. You caught my intention perfectly.
Ellen, Margaret, and Geoff, thank you so much for taking time to comment!
Again, Pris gives us a view of something others may not notice – or say. Thank you Pris for sharing your talent – even if the situation is often all too true.
Pris at her best. She uses her talent to encourage us to look into our minds and complete this snippet of life.
Thank you so much for choosing my haiku!
A powerful evocation all summed up in three short lines. Pris, your body may be – like mine – racked with pain and pretty useless but your inventive mind is as keen as ever!
