About the Artwork
“Sometimes we must work alone to make sense of our thoughts and experiences. It can be both comfortable and uncomfortable being alone, but taking time to reflect and acknowledge our individual feelings is part of growing.”
Justin Shaw is a third-year medical student at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine of Florida International University, Miami-Dade County. For the past six years, he has been a hobbyist photographer in his free times, interested in capturing animal subjects and landscapes. He enjoys opportunities to venture to new areas and explore the world through the lens of his camera.

Lovely explanation of a beautiful image, easily overlooked in the everyday. I’m grateful you took the time to notice.
