About the Artwork
“From Black Lives Matter movements to extremist political party riots and from anti-mask protesters to fallen medical heroes, it seems like our ideas and values have continuously clashed. Although our country has suffered much opposition within itself, I believe we have also regained unity among our shared adversity. While we were asked to stay physically apart, we became more connected. As more uncertainty grew from COVID-19, we paid more attention and became more aware. More importantly, as normality slipped away from our lives, we lovingly sacrificed more to keep our communities safe. Though we remain separate and, at times, divided, I have faith that we will become united again.”
