BLM

About the Artwork

“This photo was taken recently at a Black Lives Matter peaceful protest. I challenge myself to serve alongside the heroes in our country who continue to dismantle racial injustices. As a medical student and future physician, I hope to follow in the path of powerful leaders and heroes. I hope to advocate for my future patients, challenge inequities and work alongside my peers to dismantle racial disparities and injustices within our communities. I hope that this photo will serve to remind me to continue to advocate for what is just and ethically sound.”
Syeda Rabab Zaidi is a rising fourth-year medical student at Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University Chicago.

  1. May you be blessed in your future career and doubly blessed for your intention to help dismantle racial prejudice.
