  1. I like how this is left open so that the “she” of the poem could either be the person who has died who has never had an opportunity to wear the dress until now, or the long-suffering wife of a man who has finally gone from her life so she can do as she pleases.

  2. A poignant and often sadly true poem. Pris is a master of expressing the feelings with which so many can identify.

  3. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words but there is no picture that could convey all that these eight words do.
