This moved me so much. True and well written.
LeRoy, this haiku really tugged at my heart. My Mom, who will turn 100 in a few months, is in an assisted living facility. It’s a good place, with supportive professional staff, but as you say, they are essentially strangers. Thank you for capturing the essence of the experience.
For the people who reside in nursing homes, they have reached a difficult
time in their lives.
